Open ending, open wounds

And you showed me so many things Bon Iver and your movies about God and the universe and we shared your earphones  After school, after hours I thought we shared so many things I remember how that little girl must have felt I remember because I still feel like that sometimes All the hope, the disappointment Some days it washes over me all over again I'm beginning to understand That cowardness speaks louder than words And that you made your choice And I must make mine every day Choose me, love me Like in the movies but not really In a novel we would have had resolution But we are like those movies you liked  With an open ending With the open wounds open to interpretation Lazy, uncompromising And I feel like that little girl When I see someone who kind of looks like you Or when you choose to reappear out of the blue With the open wounds You don't even know me any more I'm so much better cause I'm free from almost everything, that is So I'm writing the ending right here...
